Little Ape Press is pleased to announce our newest publication, Paradise Theater.

paradise-theater-front-cover-3West Allis, Wisconsin, a first-ring suburb of Milwaukee and home to the Wisconsin State Fair, used to be a factory town. Then the factory closed, just like factories in other towns all over America. Over the next twenty years, the city was transformed. Today, people call it “Dirty Stallis.”

“- a white trash dump where the women still dressed like heavy metal skanks and the men still wore mullets and Zubaz pants because everyone was too drunk to realize that the 80s had ended.”

Profane and yet preoccupied with the sacred, dealing with religious questions amidst the decay of a post-industrial landscape, the stories in Paradise Theater tell the tales of men and women struggling to hold their lives together as their city crumbles down around them. From aimless teenagers killing time and brain cells, to mothers and fathers lost in a world devoid of values and supports, Jack Ravenwood offers up a portrait of working-class America after the work left the country.

Paradise Theater is available from AmazonĀ in print and ebook editions. If you wanna help us out and give us a bit more cash, please buy direct from Createspace cuz we get better royalties that way.
